Commercial Description:
Here’s the original honey beer. Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of sweetness. To craft the beer, we enlist the talents of several million local bees for their pure, white clover honey. Our brewmaster then blends the ambrosia with select, two-row barley malt and balances it with prized Willamette hops. While the bees reluctantly part with their honey, The Great American Beer Festival enthusiastically receives it, as they’ve awarded OHB a silver medal in a category with more than 60 blonde ales.

Very golden honey pour. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor was very very sweet, almost unpalatable. Too sweet for me.

Sweetish, grainy aroma. Mostly dry and understated, some tartness. Nothing bad, nothing great. A little watery, with a grainy-malt finish and light bitterness. Y'know, anything that claims that it's received a medal at the GABF is getting an increasingly skeptical eye from me...

This was kind of a disappointing beer to end the night with, but not entirely too bad. Not bad at all, I expected to hate this much more than I did. The taste was surprisingly pleasant. A kind of unique taste for a honey beer. slightly off balance and one dimensional, with honey malts dominating throughout the flavor and the aftertaste is slightly bitter, but not in a good way.

A good honey beer. I thoght I would hate this but it suprised me. The honey flavor works well with the balance of hops and malt.

Overall, pretty good stuff. A little on the sweet side. Strong maltiness followed by powerful sweetness, not much hop flavor. my first honey beer, so what do I refer to as a standard?

Bottle. Poured pale golden and slightly hazy with extremely small head rapidly diminishing to a ring of bubbles around the rim. Decent ale aroma, faint whiffs of honey with the malts and floral hops. Thoroughly distasteful flavor though, sour and bitter with little recognizable maltiness. And hey, where's the honey? Medium body and moderate carbonation. This was a medal winner???

Light golden color with a head that fizzed away quickly. I didn't taste the honey and it was very light. not very impressive.

Light malt and metallic aroma. Honey colored with no head. Tastes of basic 2row malt with a crying need of floral hops. This has honey in it? The yeast must have devoured it, all I taste is a decent bitter ale.
