Can’t blame them for not trying new things. Just seemed a little thin compared to other honey beers I have tried. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 11, 2007 Bottle. Translucent golden yellow with no head. Smells yeasty and not appealing. Bland flavor with a medicinal finish - somewhat like glue. DKTN (110), Mc Donald, Tennessee, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 7, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Poured golden, slightly cloudy, with a white semi-creamy head. Aroma has some sweetness from the honey. Not a bad tasting beer, but there’s not much to it. I would not buy this beer again unless my only other choices were standard macros. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2007 Light to medium gold with very short lived head. Smell is sweet malt, and grain. Taste is similar with honey sweetness and grain present but in a watered down fashion. Easy to drink, but a touch bland, even with the mild honey finish. Good substitute for a light beer or pale lager for sure. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

slightly cloudy dark yellow, scant head, crisp hop aroma, light and sweet with a crisp hop flavor, just a slight bitter finish, a rather unique compination of sweetness and hops

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 26, 2007 A not so tasty golden ale, not that this style is known for its big taste. Aroma of wheaty honey. Pour was a murky gold with a one finger white head. Taste was heavily carbonated, small bubbles with a distinct "nothing special" taste. Not much honey, not much taste. Was like a watery pale lager with an extremely dry finish and no excitement. cheapdark (2047), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 26, 2007 Not sure if this should be a golden ale or spice beer. Aroma is straw and fermenting honey. Certainly the honey sticks out in this one with the aroma and the taste. Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Barely any bitterness in this but I don’t think it is much better than Koch’s Golden Anniversary which only costs 30 cents a can. Good lawn mowing beer, somewhat like many pale lagers. North Country Northern Lite blows this away. Easy to enjoy and probably on par with Ballantine XXX Ale, Blue Point Summer Ale and Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale. That straw aroma carries over into the finish and tho it’s not bitter, has an odd feel on the palate.
