Commercial Description:
Here’s the original honey beer. Crisp and refreshing, with a hint of sweetness. To craft the beer, we enlist the talents of several million local bees for their pure, white clover honey. Our brewmaster then blends the ambrosia with select, two-row barley malt and balances it with prized Willamette hops. While the bees reluctantly part with their honey, The Great American Beer Festival enthusiastically receives it, as they’ve awarded OHB a silver medal in a category with more than 60 blonde ales.

Honey smell as soon as I poured it. Qucikly disappearing head, looks like piss after a few minutes. Honey taste, along with a taste that kind of tasted like beer. Easy on the mouth, but nothing to write home about.

Well, this beer was a whole lot of nothing. Nothing bad, nothing good. Clear golden in color, there was not much flavor going on.

Draft at Pyramid Alehouse in Walnut Creek, CA. Poured a clear golden color. Head was two fingers high and white with decent retention and lacing. Smelled and tasted of light malty ceral grain with a touch of honey. Delicately sweet on the tongue. Eh.

Rather an innocuous drink. It pours a clear yellow body with a creamy head that dissipates pretty quickly. The aroma is honey with a faint floral hopping. The flavor has some very light malts with a dollop of honey. Not very memorable.

Basically this beer is a clear golden ale with some sweet honey flavor in the background. No real aroma. Just crisp golden ale flavor followed by some sweetness. It is a refreshing beer, and I like it, but it is not complex nor special.

Overall this is probably one of the hardest beers I have had to judge. The aroma is really no existant, the appearance is much like a pale lager and the flavor is sweet but lacks any true honey flavor. The difference is the mouthfeel. It goes down incredibly smooth, has no harsh impact on the mouth and has a long lasting crisp aftertaste. Probably wouldnt buy it again but its a refreshing beverage.

The beer poured a golden color with a soapy head. The aroma is grassy with some citrus and honey. The flavor is rather bland and I really don’t taste much honey in this one. This is a small step up from any other swill.
