Shag (1777), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Jun 21, 2008 A golden appearance with a small white head. The aroma is rather faint with some lemons and soap. The flavor is slightly bitter with some lemons and grapefruit present. This is like SNPA light or something. Nothing wrong with it but nothing to seek out either. Overall a decent session beer.
Gooney (36), Oregon, USA Sep 6, 2008 On tap at the brewery - This beer was quite disappointing to me. Didn’t smell like much. Didn’t taste like much. Tasted very light considering the 6.2% ABV. Not much character. This may be a good beer to use to introduce Budweiser drinkers to microbrews. nearbeer (1237), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 3, 2008 12 oz, bb 10-25-08. Clear amber with a small soapy ring of foam and spotty lace. Aroma of caramel, apple and a dash of barber tonic. Flavors of honey and lightly peppery spice, caramel apple and slight wood. Light-medium body is lightly tingly with carbonation and sorta dryish. The_Captain (296), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 2, 2008 Orange amber looking pour with minimal fizzy head. A floral grassy aroma with a citrus air that carries into the palate. A hops dryness towards the finish with a lingering slight bitterness. Meh, didn’t like this one really. ABUSEDGOAT (1904), California, USA Aug 23, 2008 Amber orange colored, moderate head, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is lightly grapefruity, some caramel, somewhat floral. Medium bodied, moderate to low bitterness. Drinkable but lacks character. chokmah33 (103), Bremerton, Washington, USA Aug 20, 2008 Bisquity cracker malt aroma. Metallic and slightly fruity (white grape, lemon).
Cracker malts dominate the flavor, mild citiric fruitiness, grapefruit. Minimal floral hoppiness, I don’t see what makes it extra pale. Palate is overcarbed.
