Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Oct 30, 2009 Pours dead clear gold with copper core and thin white head. The aroma is nice and chewy with sweet citrus and caramel as well as full up malts. The taste begins with a pulse of citrus hop bitterness and then moving into sweeter yummy citrus hop flavor notes as well as some sweet and caramel like malts. Very tasty IPA with a solid hop presence. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 14, 2009 12oz bottle courtesy of riversideAK. Pours clear medium amber with a half finger white head. The nose is caramel, pine and light citrus. The taste is toffee, sweet citrus, caramel malt and light pine in the finish. Given the name, I have to assume this has a few months on it, but it’s still a decent IPA. Thank for sending it Alex! BückDich (4785), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 8, 2009 Bottle: Pours a light amber color with a little white head. The nose is light and hop forward with a touch of malt and husk. The flavor has a nice little piney hop note along with some toasty light caramel and berry notes in the tail. Clean finish and a grassy tail. Not too bad, not something I’d reach for again though. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Oct 5, 2009 Thanks to the Tampa Crew for sharing. Pours amber and orange with a white head. Nose is pine, light malt, some honey, and prickly sap. Flavor is pine, sap, malt, more malt, and some floral hops. Sticky and hoppy with a medium body. Nice beer. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Sep 30, 2009 Ticker sized sample shared by my dad. Nose is somewhat citrusy and floral with light malty undertones. Pours amber with thin light foam. Bright crisp hops, light malty sweetness. Mostly citrus and floral hops. Went well with food. Very drinkable, nothing special, but it works. TampaBrew (726), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 23, 2009 Pours a deep orange/amber. Nose is dank, citrus and pine hops, sweet caramel. Flavor is Sweet malt balanced by a medley of sticky hops. Resinous pine and citrus. Some flowery notes and slight yeasty in character. Damn fine IPA! troopie (848), USA Sep 22, 2009 Poured Orange with thick foamy white head. Aroma of citrus, hop, resin. Moderate flavour with orangey and tangeriney notes. Lingering citrusy finish. Earlier Rating: 4/22/2009 Total Score: 3.4 Bottle. Poured orange yellow with thick lasting off white head. Strong aroma of citrus and flowers. Light flavour for such an aroma, Citrus and hop notes. Light hop finish. Ughsmash (3978), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Sep 22, 2009 Bottled. Poured clear, light coppery-amber with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit meat and sweet caramel with more citrus and some pine around.. sweet overall and rather candy-like. The flavor found caramel, grapefruit meat, and redder fruits on the sweet core with earthy and citrusy bitterness around.. finished with a kiss of sweetness and resiny pine bitterness. Light-medium bodied and increasingly bitter as it moved through the mouth.. not a bad feel.. just alright overall.
