Appearance: clear nut colored copper.
Nose: Surprisingly fresh and intense cut grass, sweet mulch and super-fresh c-note hops... some lime, orange and lemon zest, a bit of amber/sap and some pungent, peppery, spicy and salty notes.
Body: medium to light, somewhat thin, weakens over the back, falls apart and finishes transparent and watery.
Flavor: Very faint, no depth, medium to light bitterness, overall a disappointment given the vibrant and fresh hop nose.
Overall: An amazing introduction with the nose but flatly disappointing after that. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 8, 2009 Bottle: Pours a light amber color with a little white head. The nose is light and hop forward with a touch of malt and husk. The flavor has a nice little piney hop note along with some toasty light caramel and berry notes in the tail. Clean finish and a grassy tail. Not too bad, not something I’d reach for again though. bhensonb (4371), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Bomber from Liquid Solutions. LIght copper color with a large white head. Lots of citrus/floral hop over light caramel. Near medium body with light carbonation. Tis is a light IPA in terms of body, and perhaps malt, but the citrus hop is decently strong for the style. Finish is rather clean, and continuously bitter. Nice brew. Ughsmash (4077), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Bottled. Poured clear, light coppery-amber with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit meat and sweet caramel with more citrus and some pine around.. sweet overall and rather candy-like. The flavor found caramel, grapefruit meat, and redder fruits on the sweet core with earthy and citrusy bitterness around.. finished with a kiss of sweetness and resiny pine bitterness. Light-medium bodied and increasingly bitter as it moved through the mouth.. not a bad feel.. just alright overall.
