Thick & creamy mouthfeel, rich throughout, with some amaretto in the nose. Really a great sweet stout, very well balanced with the roasted malts doing good work. When it's fresh, this stuff is great. Too long on the shelf and it goes downhill quickly. Cornfield (4966), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

Very smooth mouthfeel, smoky with just a hint of hops. Rather murky aftertaste.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2004 Black color with a nice sticky head and prominant lacing. The aroma is very fruity and hoppy, lightly roasted in the finish on the nose. The flavor is full of fruity chocolate and sweet coffee. Mouthfeel is dry and yes, creamy. A good tasting stout that's easy to drink and standard, nothing too over the top, but everything here is done right. Thanks acrodizer! Tmoney99 (4780), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 27, 2004 Out of the bottle. Fresh baked bread and some coffee aroma. Flavor starts out sour and mellows a little. Almost no head and a fairly thin mouthfeel. There are better ones in the style.
