| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2003 Amber color, caramel malt scent. Interesting, it has a sweet taste, but a lingering hop aftertaste. Neat. Not a great beer, but perfectly accecptable. bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 27, 2003 Draft. Amber color with a good head. The malts are a bit too string and could be a bit more mellow. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 21, 2003 Low ester yet slight medicine aroma. A faint touch of licorice as well. Clear orange beer with tan head. The malt body is lacking, yet the flavor lingers, with a touch of astringency. This beer is not a favorite. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 19, 2003 Medium brown color, small off white head that had some decent staying power.Malty, caramel aroma, slightly sweet. The taste is malty and caramel with a decent amount of hops coming through, lightly sweet as well. The after taste is sweet malt and caramel with a faint presence of hops. Not bad but definately could be better. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2003 clear, amber color, much the same as other Ofests. swirling creates very little head. aroma is bready malts with very subtle hop spiciness. flavor is fruity with hints of chocolate, slight NATURAL peanut butter (not the processed kind) and hops in the finish. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 15, 2003 A fairly decent representation of what I consider to be a boring style. Malty, caramelly, sort of flat and round mouthfeel. I've had worse for a Marzen though, beats the heck out of Sam Adam's. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 13, 2003 A deep transpicuous burnished copper with an average sized head, frothy and light tan in color as it vanishes quickly it leaves a very thin bit of lace to attempt a covering. Nose is mostly malt, hint of caramel, sweet and pleasant enough with nice malt and lightly sweet start, top is thin to medium in feel. At the finish the hops are spicy and the acidity persistent, dry aftertaste, an average beer, nothing that gets me excited, but hell it takes a real “Killer Beer” to do that these days.
