Commercial Description:
This robust, festive brew is inspired by the crisp autumn season and the great Oktoberfest tradition. An authentic German style Märzen, Uncle Otto’s delivers rich, malty flavor with complex overtones of a half-dozen select malts and Mt. Hood and Saaz Hops. True to the Bavarian original, Uncle Otto’s lagers slowly for two full months, making it exceptionally smooth drinking. Available August through October, Uncle Otto’s animated flavor makes the blustery fall days of leaf raking come alive.

A very average Oktoberfest style ale, and that is about all there is to say about it. Pours into a rich amber color with a very fastly fading soda like head. Flavors are muddled at best, and not very complex. Overall unbalanced and overly hoppy with hops coming in the aftertaste as an afterthought.

Copper color with a light tan head. Sweet potato aroma. Sweet malt start with a later toastiness that kicks in. Astringent in the finish. Spicy hops mid gulp. Muddled flavors and ear cloying sweetness distract.

More or less textbook maerzen/oktoberfest style lager- darkish for the style(not a defect really, it's just that most German examples have become increasingly pale over the years) but perfect every other way. Wonderful caramelized malt sugar flavor drying out in the finish thanks to a perfect hop bittering level and the proper dextrin balance. I love this style beacause of beers like this, let's chicken dance in the cornmaze!

This beer had a medium sized tan head that consisted of fine-small sized bubbles that quickly diminished. The bodywas slightly cloudy and there was no carbonation. The hue reminded me of cider and there was very little lacing with this beer. The nose was sweet as sugar and malty. The flavor of this beer was malty and the mouthfeel was smooth, thin, tingly and light bodied.

This brew poured a medium head of finely sized light brown slowly diminishing bubbles that left a slight lacing and a hazy transparent light brown uncarbonated body behind. THis brew also has a very nice aroma to it with notes of malted caramel and brown sugar sweetness to it. Oh my, the taste is also very fine with a nice combination of malt and roasted caramel notes to it. its mouthfeel is very smooth and plesant. A very nice brew indeed. My compliments to the brewmaster.

Orange in color.Thick orangish head. Aroma has a hint of lemon to it.Sweet candy flavor. Very carbonated with tons of little bubbles.I'm not a big fan of this style.

Middle of the road orange color. Some crisp malts kicking up front. A kind of thin bitter finish. There's a hint of orange or lemon peel lurking around somewhere. Decent octoby.

Malty aroma but the flavor is just a little sweet without much malt flavor also lacks the bread flavors that I like in this style. I like the hop profile, not bad really but not a favorite.
