Sweet big crystal malt character and clean mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Not bad, but lacks malt character, and is not even remotely in the style it states. argo0 (6991), Washington DC, USA

The aroma is malty with notes of caramel. Nicely balanced flavor due to a nice spiciness. Very decently hopped. Another Oktoberfest beer... what can I say? Not my thing. Still, great for the style!

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2003 Copper color with a light tan head. Sweet potato aroma. Sweet malt start with a later toastiness that kicks in. Astringent in the finish. Spicy hops mid gulp. Muddled flavors and ear cloying sweetness distract. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 18, 2003 Pellucid auburn color, light average head, simetrical but evaporative. Light caramel aroma with a touch of cinnamon and roast. Flavor is initially sweet but not overly complex. This finishes all the way to the end but is very watery and average for an oktoberfest. Rich deep copper pour, with aroma of caramel malt, toffee, some spices. Tastes as it smells, with some finishing hops and spice. BBB63 (4271), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2003 Copper hue with good head and very good lace. The aroma is caramelize malts, tangy and citrus hops, and a bit of sweet spice. The initial sweetness is balanced by a hop zing on the finish making this a rather enjoyable brew. Lingering maltiness and medium-bodied mouthfeel. Better than average fest bier. beerguy101 (3969), Newark, California, USA
