Slightly yeasty. Bannana and lemon dominate the fruity taste. Almost as good as a german wheat. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2003 Hazy unfiltered with good lacing and not much head. Light wheat and alcohol aroma. Flavor has banana and clove esters with a bland wheat background, hops are detectable though. Good clean finish but not as full of flavors as most german wheats. bubslang (438), Kentwood, Michigan, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 26, 2003 New batch for summer 2003:Golde beer with orange highlights and a definite hefe haze(poured mit hefe of course!); definite bubblegum and clove aroma from a proper German weissbier yeast, plus rose petal, tangerine and strawberry aromas. The small head dissipated quickly, but the flavor is very fresh and lively, whith just enough lactic acidity to make for a nice long wheat aftertaste. One of the best American brewed German style weiss beers. LaChad (1375), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2003 Bottle. This accidentally sat on my fridge shelf for about 5 months, so I was expecting the worst but it was okay. Milky-golden pour. Tastes more like a hefe than a true "wheat beer", yeasty, standard banana-clove with maybe a bit more crispness than I expected. Decent stuff with a sweet finish that I liked a lot. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2003 While McTarnahan's might be my favorite brewery when it comes to non-wheat beers, their failure to execute when brewing Weissbiers is uncharacteristic of their otherwise immensely high standards. Tastes more like an American Wheat due to its muted yeasty nature. Drinkable, though. Nate (2569), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Mar 23, 2003 Citrusy, tangy wheat aroma. Yeast, bit of bubblegum. Small white head and some lacing. Beautiful cloudy pumpkin orange color. Bright. High carb and medium silky, watery body. Very tart, citrusy up front. Hits back of the tongue with an assault. Good wheat/yeast flavor. Sourness detracts. Sour weak after. Overall, has weak flavor, and tartness is a downer.
