| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 4, 2002 Strong yeasty aroma with nice citrus touches as well. Color is a nice brownish-orange with very little head and no lace. A very strong wheat flavor, with nice fruity tones. I think this is a very good wheat beer, especially from the US. dolemike1 (1129), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA

Nose has a nice hint of yeast, malt sweet and citrus crisp, quite pleasing with the start sweet and a bit tart with a light top. Finish is slightly tart, lightly hopped but pleasant, dry and pleasing aftertaste, a drinkable but average beer. JFGrind (1360), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2002 Philly is in the middle of a heat wave and out of the eight different style of beers I had in the fridge I thought Uncle Otto’s was the best choice for a hot summer night. Weiss beer was a good call, and it was my fist time sampling this brew. Aroma was sour after pouring it, and head quickly dissolved leaving a cloudy beer with no bubbles. Taste wise the beer was very palatable, and quencehed my thirst. gerdy555 (163), Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2002 This was yet another offering from my May Beer of the Month Club shipment. Had 3 bottles of this after work - they went down pretty easy. This brew pours a hazy amber. The white head is best described as in-between. As in: in between frothy and creamy, mostly lasting and diminishing. It really all depends on how many you have in the SAME glass. The first glass provides the best head characteristics, all that follow are poor. Lacing is virtually non-existant The nose is subtle but complex with many sweet fruit notes (bananna and apricot being strongest), cheese, spices, and perfume. The flavor is nicely balanced between sweet and acidic (sour) and has a malty finish. The brew has a medium dry, fizzy, body; and the finish feels crisp. Reminds me of something that would hail from Belgium. Kathy (241), Washington DC, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2002 The only description I can come up with for the aroma is that it’s like the aroma of walking through a damp, but sunny redwood forest. In other words, I can’t place what I smell, but it’s earthy and welcoming. The flavor is like that, too. It’s sunny and pleasant, with an earthy background and just a hint -- a tiny one -- of honey. It’s a nice beer, and one that I would enjoy having on hand.
