This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of frothy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a opaque no visible carbonation dark black colored body. The mild aroma was blackberry. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt blackberry and sweet. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Draft pour at the brewery. Beautiful looking beer, almost a purple-tinted black. Nothing much going on with this one. Dry, sweet smell, no mouthfeel, and average taste of blackberries and nothing else. I wouldn’t even classify this as a porter.

Draft at MABC. Small tan head that mostly lasted, nice lacing, opaque, no visible carbonation, and a dark brown to near black hue. Nose was sweet and blackberries. Flavor was sweet, blackberries and semi-tart. Smooth, watery, thin, and dry mouthfeel. Light body. IMO the sweetness of this brew overpowers the flavor.

draft at the brewpub - Pours dark brown to black with a small head. The aroma is mild and fruity. The flavor is definitely led by the blackberries. It’s enjoyable, but I would have liked the dark roast malt character to be a little stronger. Medium bodied, this brew goes down easy and makes for a pretty good fruit beer.
