This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind an opaque black colored body with no visible carbonation and a good lacing. The weak aroma was malty with dark malt. The mildly mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mellow finish and a mild malt hop bite with a slight acidic note. The smooth staring flavor contained notes of very mild cherry and dark malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.

Draft at MABC. Small tan head that was mostly lasting, decent lacing, and a black hue. Bourbon and dark cherry nose. Flavor was dry, bourbon and dark cherries. Smooth, dry palate. Medium body. Decent.

draft at MABC - This beer pours opaque and black with a thin head. The aroma is a nice mix of bourbon and cherries. The fruit and whiskey really come through in the flavor too, though the whiskey isn’t as strong as it was in MA’s bourbon barrel porter. However, the palate is too thin and the flavor too weak. It seems that some very pleasant bourbon and cherry flavors are found in a rather lackluster stout. It’s fairly good, but disappointing after the true excellence of this past winter’s bourbon barrel porter.
