patrick767 (1396), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 18, 2006 sample from a 2003 bottle - There’s a nice citrus hops aroma. The alcohol that others mentioned has mellowed with age. There’s a great medium bodied, lightly carbonated mouthfeel. It’s a nice beer, overall. Hopefully they have some bottles to sell this holiday season and I can get one to myself. gearbike (338), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA Jul 30, 2005 Looks more like a pale ale when pooring. A basic IPA has the hops but the alcohol is to strong. pellertpale (9), The Fort, Indiana, USA does not count Feb 6, 2004 Malted out, and under hopped. Seems about the same hop level as The Ol' Woody, but with to much malt. Needs a more prevelant hop character. Gimme some pine or citrus flavor. flemdawg (484), Naples, Florida, USA Jan 22, 2004 Draft. Reddish-gold color and a small ring of bubbles round the rim. Aroma was sweet and hoppy all mixed into one. The flavor was mainly hops, but not as much as the name Imperial suggests. As it warmed the alcohol became slightly more evident. A lingering/tingling finsih made me want to sip more. temporrari (311), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jan 6, 2004 Updated: Feb 20, 2004Not bad. By no means a competition level IIPA, but pretty good, and locally brewed. I liked it. Tasted a bit too strong of alcohol. Almost made me cringe lighty, the way a shot of liquor would, but not as much as liquor would. It's ok, but I don't think I'll pay for it again.
