Mad Anthony Johnny Appleseed Apple Ale

Growler at bdigi66’s. No head, no lacing, transparent, and a pale yellow hue. Nose was apples and sweet and ditto for the flavor with a hint of honey. Smooth mouthfee and light in body. Nothing that knocked my socks off here as it is a rather dull, boring fruit beer. Nothing stood out about it and not much character.

This draft brew from a rating party poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The smooth mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow fruity aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of malt and fruity. An OK brew just nothing special.

draft at the brewpub - Pours up a clear yellowish color with a thin head. It smells of apples and light malt. Flavor is the same and is sweet with minimal hops presence. It’s kind of watery. The finish is light. It’s not terrible, but certainly didn’t impress me either.

Out of the growler at bdigi66’s place. Yellow beer with a thin fizzy white head and a light, fruity nose of mostly apple. Apple cider is the dominant flavor, with honey, some winey flavors and alcohol. Not a bad use of fruit in beer, but still not that interesting.

Growler: Pours a pale yellow/orange with no head. Light malt, apple juice aroma. Surprisingly more full bodied than expected and the flavors are pretty much in line with the aroma with some added winter spice. Decent stuff and does not taste anything like a cider which I was afraid it might.
