The flavor is dry, metallic, lightly roasty, sweet, and astringent. The palate is astringent. Not very pleasant.

Distinct aroma of roasted malt and yes....chocolate. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt and a burned, lightly ashy edge. Has a light underlying acidity - presumably from the used malts. Mild spiced and chocolate malty aroma. Smooth. Vanilla and chocolate smooth flavoured. Light dryness and mild spiced. Smooth chocolate finish. Nice roasted malty too. Light fruity into the finish.
