Not sure why this rates so poorly....I thought it was pretty damn good. Nose full of hops, pine and grapefruit, flavor to match. Nicely bitter. Damn tasty on a cold as hell October day by the river!

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Pretty damn weak IPA. Aroma is lacking. Flavor is lacking, except for the odd finish. Starts off a little too sweet and has a strange finish and awkward aftertaste. Overall light in flavor though, with a thin body. scraff (1946), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2009 22 oz. – Thanks for sharing, ygtbsm94. Dark rusty copper, off white creamy head. Soft toffee and floral pineapple nose with a touch of sweet citrus throughout. Grapefruit hop flavors are decently balanced on a soft earthed caramel foundation. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, bittersweet finish. Not bad, not great… RHeastings (418), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Experienced at the brewpub in a nonic glass. The idea of crafting an IPA entirely from one variety of hops is worthy of kudos from the creativity standpoint. Unfortunately, this beer disappoints in its execution. The nose is reasonably nice from the style. However, the palate is decidedly off-putting. Harsh bitter combined with some very infection-ish off-flavors render this one a pass. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2009 Red/orange color with a beige head. Aroma of citrus and fruits. Flavor of some sweet malts and hops. The finish is the best part of this, very long and hoppy. MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2009 22oz bottle purchased a Simone’s in Lakewood. Pretty sure it was the last bottle and I haven’t seen it elsewhere. Aroma is a buttery floral citrus one, not too overpowering. Flavor is rather thin and somewhat rather gentle for the hops character. This comes off as being a bit too carbonated. Note a bad beer, but low on the IPA scale. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2009 Bottle. Pours a copper color with a thin but dense head. Aromas are thin, but a nice mix of hops... some pineapple and mango type fruitiness with a little bit of malty sweetness. Flavor is a different story... the malt gets out of control and overwhelms the underdone hops presence... this comes off more like an amber ale or something along those lines. The hops only pick back up in the very late aftertaste and it is pretty fleeting even then. Beerman6686 (1292), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 7, 2009 This poured a dark orange/amber color with and off white head. Aroma was mild citrus hops and some sweetness from the malts as well. Flavor was a terribly aged IPA, very hollow hops flavors and sickenly sweet flavor.
