Bottle from Brew Keeper. Poured a dark brown color with an minimal frothy brown head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate roasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted balanced flavor with a medium sweet lactos finish of moderate duration. Smooth soft brew, my expectations where met.

Sample from 22oz bottle at the Brewkeeper tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 10/9/08. I was really hoping they would bring this one. Pours nearly black with no head. Smell is smoky and sweet with hints of bread and licorice. Flavor is very malty and sweet with no roastiness, hop or alcohol balance. Tasted like more of a bock than a stout.

Bottle from Rozi’s. Black body, large tan head w. very nice retention. Nose is roasty malt, cocoa, a woody cherry fruitiness. Flavor is roasty malt, very dry chocolate, a good amount of oxidation, more of that woody cherry (almost bretty). A bit more sweetness comes out in the finish w. a hint of toffee.

Bottle from miketd. Thanks man! <br /> Pours black with an overly fizzy tan head. Smell is kind of bretty and funky and roasty. Guessing its related to the overcarbonation. Taste is spoiled milk, rotten, sour, and offensive and metallic malt. Overly carbonated and most likely very infected.
