Bottle from brewpub. Poured a black color with a moderate frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. More my style with a smooth sweet drinkable brew.

Dark ruby. Creamy body and head from nitrogen. I’m getting this weird aroma that reminds me of painting a room with latex paint. Otherwise quite nice.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with 2 cm of tan head that is slowly diminishing. Initial flavor is balanced and very light, nothing really comes out. Ends kind of nutty. There is some creaminess too. Thin to medium body, some lacing, no noted carbonation, and hint of alcohol noted. OK beer, I think its above its rating, but not by much.

Bottle from Brigadier. Pours dark brown with a white head. Smells earthy with some caramel. Tastes tarte with some sweet malt. Meh.

2-19-08 bottle thanks to CRIZAY!!!
Thin dark brown with no real head. Has a nutty aroma that is subtle up front. Flavor is bland and watery. Walnuts are present in the flavor and smell for me. Overall, weak and watery.
