This was a little bit of a gusher. Dark hazy brown/red color with a big long lasting beige head. Aroma of yeast, dark fruits and a little spice. Flavor is very sweet and malty with fruits and caramel.

Thanks to Brigadier for the trade. Brown pour, quite cloudy, scant lacing. Aroma is vinous, oxidized, abundant alcohol, hints of cinnamon, somewhere between a belgian dark and a traditional old ale. Flavor built around dark fruit notes, figs, raisins, a bit of spicy sparkle of cinnamon and cloves. Dry despite the heavy malt base, quite warming. Flavor has a bit of trouble containing the high abv, borders on the chemical. Medium to full body, active of the palate, warm finish.

22oz bomber received in a trade a while back. Pours dark brown in the glass which shows through a deep, hazy copper when held up to light. There is a short-lived off-white head that leaves no lacing and a tiny collar. The aroma is pretty good for a quad with sweet candi sugar, dark malts and sweet fruits. It’s pretty one dimensional but not bad in the nose. The taste has a very faint fruity tartness up front, like some sour cherries maybe, before the sweetness of the malts and sugar take over. The finish is sweet as well and slightly dry. The mouthfeel is medium bodied but seems a tad thin for the style and lacks the body I expected. This is a decent beer overall but fairly average for the style. It lacks the complexity and mouthfeel of the best quads.

bomber - thanks to beerlando for the trade; dark amber, mostly clear with trace off white head; kind of boozy at first with aromas of raisins, date; mildly syrupy with rich, soft flavors of sugars, dark fruit and rich malts; wow, great stuff; rally nails the sweetness with lots of yeast influence; dank sugars and just yummy

22 ounce bottle courtesy of Kinz. Roast and chocolate but not a lot of yeast character in aroma. Slightly cloudy dark amber brown with small or no head. Lots of sweet dark fruit in th eflavor, raisin, and lightly sour. Dark fruit and roast in the finish. Pretty tasty.

Deep brown, so-so head. Aroma is heavily yeasty, almost like Samichlaus. Flavor is slightly sour fruit, molasses, dark cherry. Not as Belgian as expected. But not a bad beer.

Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Chocolate, dark fruit and Belgian ester aroma. Chocolate fruity taste with some spicy Belgian notes. Very nice.
