Slightly hazy burgundy colour. Sweet plum, orange, and demerara nose. Banana, spice, lots of chocolate and brown sugar with a dry, hoppy finish. Rich and sweet but well-balanced.

Bottle... <b>Post RBSG ’08 O-Town/Vero Beach Throwdown Chapter 8</b>... <b>This beer rocks!</b>... Pitch black with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is a euphoric swirl of chocolate and black cherries with a subtle dose of lactic acid. Full-bodied and velvety with expired carbonation. Sweet, lightly acidic flavor. Malty, mildly sweet finish. <b>Kudos to mcbackus for sharing the goods!</b>

Draft @ the Brew Keeper. Dark plum/brown colored body, slightly muddy, with a thin tan head on top. Nose is big alcohol and cherry wood, nuts, full of dark fruit, deep and rich. Rich, very fruity flavor, with loads of black cherries, dates, black raspberries, plum, brown sugar, nuts, etc. Body is frothy thick with a medium fullness, some tannic nut flavors develop in the finish, some raisin, date, bread, etc. Wonderfully flavorful, but still young and hot. Fairly similar to how young, hot Westvleteren 12 is, and it gets approximately the same score from me. (young westy 12 for me is in the 3.8-4.0 range, while well-aged bottles score much higher).

(22oz bottle) Pours a deep mahogany body with a small beige head. Aroma of raisins, molasses, tasted malt, tea leaves, tobacco, cherry, and brown sugar. Flavor of toasted malt, raisins, dates, nuts, and alcohol.

Draft sample at Brew Keeper. Poured clear reddish brown color with an averaqge creamy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Heavy complex tart fuirt, bubble gum and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky smooth texture. Medium to heavy balanced flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet and small alcohol burn finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.
