The draft version of this beer, is by far my favorite over the two. The draft beer is about 9% alcohol, the flavor is still a bit sweet. Hints of vanilla. Very smooth and excellent overall flavor. Very deceptive with alcohol, be prepared for the Storm, it will hit ya.

Tends to be higher alcohol than the draft. Being soo, it carries a more sweet taste. Same as the draft though. Great color. Great aroma. And approving flavor.
Both beers have been big hits with females, and those who favor for some reason the traditional beers. And dont want the hops.??? cking (756), North Canton, Ohio, USA Feb 14, 2008 Updated: Feb 15, 2008Unlike anything I have yet to come across, this "Imperial Cream Ale" is exceptional and it quickly became my favorite offering from the Cleveland Winter Warmer Festival. The samples were poured into a wide mouthed glass from 22oz bombers. An invigorating aroma of sweet vanilla and cream filled the air. Notes of freshly buttered bread, and cereal were present as well. A vibrant dark copper body with a sizable white head produced lots of thick lacing. Mouth feel is gritty and sweet. Deceptively drinkable, one must be careful to slow down while enjoying this amazing brew. I was amazed at how comforting this beer is on the senses. Upfront vanilla flavor backed by medium grainy malts. Some molasses and real ice cream flavors show their presence. Off the wall and so tasty, this really is a unique and wonderful beer. JaBier (239), Capital City, Ohio, USA Oct 10, 2008 Sample from 22oz bottle at the Brewkeeper tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 10/9/08. I’ve never had a regular cream ale, let alone imperial. Semi-opaque pour of a dark amber. Smell is divine. Lots of vanilla, malt and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is right there with the aroma: plenty of vanilla, caramelized sugar and malt, with sprinkles of coconut and sweet corn. The alcohol is there, but you’d never guess 11%. Medium finish. Solid effort and easily in my top 2 for the evening. Ibrew2or3 (2003), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Oct 27, 2008 Courtesy of the BeerVirgin72 at mcbackus tasting. Pours copper with thin head. The aroma is sweetness front to back with some brighter notes coming to the fore from time to time. Smells sweet and sugary with hints of vanilla. The taste starts with some malts followed by full vanilla and sugar sweetness running right into the finish. Just about zero sense of the sizable ABV. Yummy brew that is certainly different than most. Well done. cbkschubert (1721), Rattlesnake Country, Arizona, USA May 18, 2008 22 oz. bottle via trade with Brigadier - Pours a clear copper color with a one and a quarter finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Has a sweet toasty malt aroma. Quite nice. Lively carbonation. Flavor is toasted malt with a touch of vanilla and cereal. Medium body. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. This is a really good beer. Thanks Nathan
