Commercial Description:
This beer was originally brewed for a famous Reggae festival that happens each year here in Humboldt County. A malty bitter American Amber style ale. This mahogany hued ale brings an intense spectrum of hop flavors from the spicy aromatic to lingering bitter, all underscored by a full- bodied caramel richness. Try this brew with a little Jamaican Jerked Chicken.

Beer of the Month Selection: Poured from the bottle at cellar temperature into a pint glass. Pour produced an amber-red body, topped by a rocky, full head of white foam. Aroma is malty with hints of caramel, pepper, and molasses, with some hops notes. Medium-bodied mouthfeel, with some stickiness on the lips and an initial bitterness on the tongue. The palate matches the aroma with a lingering bitterness. Not as full-bodied as the description would lead you to believe, though overall it isn’t that bad.

Poured a deep amber color with a thick slightly off-white head that had very little retention. A nice balance in the aroma between bitter hops and sweet caramel like malts. Flavor was similar to the aroma but seemed a little thin but still enjoyable to drink.

BOM. Poured this right before game 4 Rangers/Pens. Pretty looking deep amber color with a off white diminshing head. Nose of malt, hops and caramel. Smells a bit like a slightly less potent SNPA. Flavor of malt with a hop backround. Body is a bit thin and flavor lacks a bit. Decent brew but nothing great.

Nice and smooth. Little sweet upfront with a good balancing bitterness afterwards. Tastes pretty much how it smells.

Dark amber color......almost opaque. Fluffy head, though it fades a little quick. Heavy malt aroma with a few sweet and spicy notes. Sweet malt flavor up front, with a subtle caramel flavor. Fairly smooth mouthfeel......slightly bitter back.

Slightly hazy red with little head or apparent carbonation. Simple caramel aroma with an earthy undertone. Caramel sweet with tangy notes and a hint of cocoa. Mild hop flavor. Willamette? Low bitterness.

Probably my favorite amber ale. Pours deep red with a small but thick head. Very sweet aroma, I was very surprised by it. Flavor is sweet, balanced out nicely by malts with a hoppy floral finish.

Pour is a dark red with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet caramel malts with a touch of hops. Flavor is almost the same. Lots of sweet malt with an citrus aftertaste from the hops. This wants to be an American strong ale really bad but i does not quite make it. Still this is an ok ale to drink on a rainy night.
