presense in the background.   Also seems like some carmalized sugar, biscuit, and earthy flora as well.   Sweet malts on the tongue,
certainly malty, a little bit herbalish.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   As it warms up the hop aspect seems to diminish a bit.
Does seem to finish with a little bit of vegetable.   I thought it was fairly well balanced, in the beginning.   As it warmed
it became malt sided, oddly enough.   Pretty darn tasty if you ask me.

Aroma of mango, sweet grapefruit, toffee, and a hint of smoke. Taste is piney, toffee, grapefrut, and an unexpected hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, resinous with lush carbonation. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 5, 2007 bottle. Unique color and appearance - but not very appealing. Muddy brown color. Slow on palate. Thick, but not very creamy like I’d hoped. Watery chocolate aroma. Flavor is interesting and unique as well - fairly decent overall. Good carbonation and a nice milky mouthfeel and aftertaste. Shockingly different from other Ambers. Very nice - would like to try again. Dogbrick (2907), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2007 This beer is a dark cooper color with a medium thin orange-beige head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. Citrus fruit, toffee and malt in the nose, dominated all the while by moderately bitter hops. Medium-bodied and somewhat dry with resiny hops and toasted malt flavor, along with touches of citrus and pine. The finish is equally malty and hoppy. Above average all around. Great hoppy aroma followed by good hoppy flavor. Very surprisingly thick malty mouth feel, very much like an oktoberfest, good but out of style. Great brew overall. troopie (906), USA

Light to medium body, with a little hoppiness. Lingering tangy finish, with a little bitterness. OldMrCrow (1202), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours red-brown with a pretty limited head. Big nose of rich caramel and orange-peel hops, caramel and burnt nuts in the flavor with a strong snap of metallic hops. At first sip I thought this might be pretty good, but I’m losing interest fast as I go through the glass. Too metallic of an off-taste from the middle through the finish, sour and again those burnt nuts. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Slightly hazy, dark amber golden with a decent, creamy, beige head leaving some lacework. Sweetish aroma of burned caramel. Medium body again with sweet flavours of burned caramel and a touch of overripe fruit. Short, dry finish. 270907
