After all the big beers I’ve been drinking tonight, this presented very thin with hardly any carbonation, almost like cherry juice. it drank very smooth with little to offend even the novice beer drinker. Very even keeled and well made, but nothing to make it stand out. (#2719, 2/18/2007) redlight (1496), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2007 Feint blend of caramel malts and hops. pours a hazy dark red with no head. There is some good flavor here though, sweet malts up front, with a good hop balance. There’s a hint of roastiness in there, with a crisp finish. It is pretty easy drinking, a nice session beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2007 Aroma of sweetness and hop. Piny hop. Hazy reddish amber/copper color with virtually no head (but the remnants are white). Starts with a thick mouthfeel, somewhat sweetish, followed by bitter hop - piny rather than citrus. Goes well with hot salsa. Carbonation does not get in the way of the flavor. Very well balanced. Have your malt and your hops too. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2006 Hmmm i was expecting a very malty non-hoppy brew and instead i got a nice red IPA. Lots of hops in the nose and tounge, spices and caramel with nice bitterness that adds to the crispness of the ale. I did however get some artificial fruit tones (citrus with cherries) at the end. Not bad for an amber... i would order it again. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
