Commercial Description:
This beer was originally brewed for a famous Reggae festival that happens each year here in Humboldt County. A malty bitter American Amber style ale. This mahogany hued ale brings an intense spectrum of hop flavors from the spicy aromatic to lingering bitter, all underscored by a full- bodied caramel richness. Try this brew with a little Jamaican Jerked Chicken.

Has nice brownish head. Color of the beer appears deep red with brown. Very cloudy. Smells of hops, caramel, and toffee. Taste pretty much the same. Not much of a bite in the end. A pleasant experience.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a thin-moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left very little lace. Pleasant aroma of sweet caramel malt. The flavor has very little of the sweetness promised in the aroma and a good deal less of the caramel malt as well. The flavor is a bit more earthy with some moderately astringent bitter hops at the finish that lingers briefly beyond the swallow.

Tight, if modest, long-lasting head. Some spottiness on the glass after each sip. Brown color with a definitive haze Caramel aroma, light toffee; almost like a brown ale. No notable hop. The key to middle-of-the-road beers is the complexity and balance. While the smell is slightly sweet with no bitterness, the flavor has a wonderful hop bitterness that lingers through the aftertaste. There’s a touch of cream in the mouth, both in flavor and body. A very nice beer.

Bottle. Pours ruby amber in color with a fizzy, white head. The aroma is citrusy, herbal, and somewhat spicy. Flavor is almost identical to the aroma. Medium body and a crisp, refreshing finish.

12 oz bottle from Market of Choice. Pours out a reddish amber color with a mild white head that leaves excellent lacing. Nose is full of caramel with some pine hop notes. Taste is much the same, a sweet caramel note with a refreshing hop bite. Not sure why people are rating this one so low, it was tasty.

Pours attractive deep garnet with a thin eggshell head. Nose is a bit of caramel and some fruit. The flavor is some earthy hops along with caramel and very subtle dried fruit. Dry finish.

Pours a nice looking amber color, wit a medium off white head. Smells of caramel malts and piney hops, nothing special or unexpected here. the flavor was much the same. very crisp and pretty refreshing drinkin it ice cold. The hops were definitely prevalent throughout, with a nice crisp malty finish. Lots of sweet caramel flavors are left on th tongue. I thought this was a very serviceable little session amber. Had some nice flavor to it.

Really nice aroma of caramel, brown sugar and some piney hops... Smells similar to a barley wine. Dark reddish brown pour with minimal head. Nice sweet flavor of caramel pineapple, and brown sugar with an alcohol burn and a bitter end. Im surprised this is an amber..Very good.
