Totally gross. Interesting taste. Reminiscent of a Murphy’s but better. Not that that’s saying much. It feels like I’m forcing this one down. I’m not a fan.I guess you could drink many of these, if you were already drunk and wanted to keep the buzz going. esjaygee (1587), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Oct 23, 2008 This get’s my vote for ugliest lable ever. I mean, is really bad. Well onto the beer. I noticed some sediment on the bottom. Been a while since I got a ’’yeast feast.’’ Pours nice amber, plumish colour. A few floaties. While waiting for the head to subside I took a peak inside. Damn man. They got the name on this all wrong. Mad River would have been brilliant in naming it ’’The Burial of Pompey’’ with the amount of sediment inside this thing. Jayzz...Anywho, the useee...malty, yeasty. Caramelly smelly. Roasted malts about here and there, but not really everywhere. Got sweater the further I dug into this thing. Like Pecan Pie, I think my jaw locked up on this one a bit. It could give that ol Thomas Hardy’s a run for the mun. A little licorice, thought ’’walmart’’ tasting brand...what do they call it, President’s Choice? Yea, maybe the President of Mexico...or in the case of this, Jamaica. Well, I guess this wasn’t a shock. I mean, The Clash certainly had a bigger shock when they visited Jamaica in the 1970’s only to find they didn’t belong. So, this beer. Right..well, it sucks. Sorry Mad River, but from your eye bleaching lable, to your ’’sedimental’’ bottom and thin glass bottle, this get’s an F. VW in da houseeee... patrick767 (2052), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

The flavori s caramel malt sweetness with a good bittering hops balance. All in all it’s a fairly good session ale but no more.
