Commercial Description:
This beer was originally brewed for a famous Reggae festival that happens each year here in Humboldt County. A malty bitter American Amber style ale. This mahogany hued ale brings an intense spectrum of hop flavors from the spicy aromatic to lingering bitter, all underscored by a full- bodied caramel richness. Try this brew with a little Jamaican Jerked Chicken.

Good beer. Reminds me of a maltier sam adams. Pours a nice amber color wtih a nice mostly white head. Typical red ale flavor with some extra sweetness. Not bad.

Aroma is herbal, some pine. Pours red amber with a medium off-white head and good amount of lacing. Taste is citrus hops with sweet roasted malts. A bit sweet for my palate but still enjoyable. Hides its’ abv of 6.6% pretty well. From the 12 ounce bottle, $1.69 US per single.

Draught at TDR EX: Aroma of floral and citrusy hops and pale malts. Poured dark amber in color with a medium-sized, off-white head that diminished. Hazy. Tasted of floral hops, toasted malts, and caramel. Medium body. Chalky texture. Average carbonation. Dry, bitter finish.

This is a pretty nice beer somewhat reminiscent of Bear Republic’s Red Rocket or similar beers. It is a nice deep red with a medium, light tan head that lasts and leaves a little bubbly lace. It has a caramelly malty body with dried fruit and plenty of flavour and sweetness, along with critrusy-piney hops giving balancing bitterness.

Weird label, fat bottle, wondering what to expect! Good beer, very flavorful. Would have gotten a higher rating except for the lingering after taste.

Not a lot of aroma but a pretty decent flavor. Sweet with a dry finish. I liked it with a nice steak.

12 ounce bottle from the Beer of the Month Club. Pours a light copper color with a half finger width tan head that disappears quickly. The aroma consists of a lot of malt and some dark fruit. The taste consists of a lot of roasted malts with a piney hop flavor. This left a bitter taste in the back of my mouth, but it was not unpleasant. This was definitely a decent brew! Nothing that I would drink on a regular basis, but solid nonetheless!

12oz bottle pours murky copper with tan head. The aroma is crystal malts, faint caramel, molasses, toffee and faint dark fruity esters mixing with a hint of pine hops. This has a tasty malt flavor with roasted to highly roasted malts, crystal malts and to a lesser extent sweet molasses followed up by mild vague hop bitterness.
