Mad River Jamaica Sunset IPA

In the bottle at the 2009 Crescent Moon Summer Beer Festival. Pours hazy light amber with a big white head. Moderate hop aroma of oranges and chocolate. The flavor is amazing and smooth with a mid-point grassiness. Love it.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium off white head. The aroma is heavy on the orange citrus with slight hints of pine. Flavor is more orange citrus with light caramel and pine notes making an appearance. Bitterness is mild at best. This is just OK and with many more to try, not worth a second look.

Orange with white head. Sweet orange and mild caramel aroma notes. Spices, citrus, and mild caramel flavour notes. Ok balance, but bitterness seemed on the lighter side for an IPA.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange golden body with a white head. Hoppy with a pine y, grapefruit, and citrus hop character. Bitter with a malty fruity body. Decent.

Nice IPA. Ridiculous head and the description is right on with the golden reddish hue. Somewhat hoppy, but not overpowering. Average balance but lacking true character.

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Nice citrus grapefruit and mild marijuana aroma. Nice tart citrus taste followed by a good bitter bite.

Poured a cloudy amber hue with a thin white head that had little retention. Mild citrus notes mixed with a heavy pine note. Flavor had nice caramel malts mixed with a dry, bitter finish. Light and refreshing.

pours a hazy orange with some nice offwhite head. aroma is of caramel, sweet malts, honey, alcohol, and spices. medium bodied with a somewhat watery finish. pleasant aftertaste. Not a typical IPA, but i was pleasantly surprised with this one.
