Aroma is pungent, full of fresh hops, pine. Flavor is sweet with that same pungent hoppy flavor. Solid bitterness that lingers just long enough. Excellent IPA. Way underated here. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 14, 2006 This pours a nice golden orange color with a white head. An earthy hop nose. The flavor is sweet , malty, with a restrained citrus bitter finish. More of a malty IPA that could benefit from a bit more or less hopping. It leaves me wanting more or less hops and I can’t make up my mind which. The current level doesn’t seem to complement the malt character very well. ratman197 (3266), Arvada, Colorado, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 6, 2006 Thanks to tomgibson for sharing this IPA. Pours a hazy golden orange with an average white bubbly head that left some lacing and did a decent job at sustaining. Aroma of a lot of caramel maltiness, citrus hops hidden in there. Flavors of the same very grainy and malty. Not much hops. TChrome (1303), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 30, 2006 Pours cloudy golden color with a well retained off white head. Aroma is a bit citricly hoppy, but only modestly so. Does have a bit of juicy grapefruit in the aroma. Flavor is likewise juicy grapefruit without much malt for balance. This IPA just doesn’t really stand out in the field of IPA greatness. realale420 (399), west covina, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2006 Bottle... Murky, golden ale with a small, frothy, white head. Good retention. Fruity, floral aroma. Malty-sweet flavor up front; lightly bitter and dry on the backside. Full-bodied and chewy with medium carbonation. Mildly bitter, bone dry finish. Solid English IPA. ghorsche (48), Berkeley, California, USA

Almost no aroma. Flavor is citrus and turpentine with a dry, bitter finish. A bit overcarbonated. An entirely unremarkable/typical American IPA.
