Commercial Description:
This is the second offering in our JAMAICA line of ales. We didn't want to make another IPA like everybody else so we opted for our own style. Unfortunately the gang at the BATF wouldn't let us use "West Indies" on the label stating that there is no such place. We all thought that Columbus was looking for the West Indies and ended up here by mistake. Oh well. We call this beer Jamaica Sunset because of its golden reddish hue. We use five different hops for aroma, bitterness and floral character. You get a crisp clean flavor and complex hop finish.

Bottle. Pours a light orange. Hazy with a bubbly white head. Big flowery hop nose and flavor. The intense hop bitterness is well balanced with the subtle malt flavor. Crisp finish. Very tasty, even from the bottle.

Apparently its hard to go wrong with an IPA because i seem to love them all. I’d like to see coors come out with an IPA to see if they could screw it up. Anyway this wasn’t the best IPA, but it was pretty good. The hops were’t incredibly strong but had a very refreshing body.

Cloudy orange color, small white head that had a decent hang time then faded to a light lace.Good hoppy citrusy aroma with maybe a bit of pine in there. The flavor was not great but decent enough, hoppy upfront with a decent grapefruit side and a mild bitterness in the end.Not exactly in the top 10 but a decent enough try for the style,i’d do it again i think.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy gold color with a rocky medium sized head. Cascade family hop aroma, citrusy. Large sweet component to the aroma as well. Citron and grapefruit hop flavors with a very sweet malt undertone. Some residual bitterness and astringency in the finish, but these characteristics are overshadowed by the lasting sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat creamy. Very sweet malt flavors diminish the hop components.

Bottle: Attractive light amber and clear (residue was left in the bottle). Nice hoppy aroma. Well rounded flavor with citrusy hops up front followed by a nice malty following, finishing with a crisp hop bite.

Appears in the glass a transparent gold color that’s very hazy. Somewhat glowing and has a frothy topping of head. The aroma has a moderate amount of hops while also being organic. In the flavor an upfront serving of hop is given off as well as a hint of citrus. Again, flavor is organic and leaves behind a dirt or earth like aftertaste

pours a hazy deep orange with lots of bubbles and a small lasting off-white head. Aroma of fruit sort of like pina colada (?) Citrus hops give way to a mild finish. Not too shabby.
