Commercial Description:
This is the second offering in our JAMAICA line of ales. We didn't want to make another IPA like everybody else so we opted for our own style. Unfortunately the gang at the BATF wouldn't let us use "West Indies" on the label stating that there is no such place. We all thought that Columbus was looking for the West Indies and ended up here by mistake. Oh well. We call this beer Jamaica Sunset because of its golden reddish hue. We use five different hops for aroma, bitterness and floral character. You get a crisp clean flavor and complex hop finish.

Bought this 12 oz bottle at Whole Foods in Vienna, VA. Hazy, orangy pour wiht a bubbly, white head. Could smell the hops from the pour. Some tart, and citrusy aromas as well. Very light hops flavor. More of an orangy zest. Lacks on being a true IPA. Maybe a bad bottle.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, white bubbly head. Hoppy orange in aroma. Orange at first, and then a hoppy kick in the flavour. Semibitter fruity flavour. Pleasant palate, but a bit too much and too sharp carbonation.

Light orange and yellow with a white head. There is a little bit of sediment in the beer. The aroma is orange sherbert and green tea. The taste has a little bit of mild grapefruit. There is also some very light caramel. The mouthfeel is fairly thin. A little sharp with the carbonation. A decent beer.

Bottle: Light orange with particles, medium creamy white head, orange citrus aroma, starts lightly bitter, ends a bit more bitter, but not much more, medium body with mild carbonation.

Pours orangish amber color with think head. Strong floral/citrus aroma. Flavor is kinda sweet with fruity taste. Really smooth and well balanced. Nice!!! A nice session IPA for a warm day!!

Bland and under-hopped. Just as hazy as Jamaica Red, but not as interesting. Weak for an IPA, but balanced.

Orange hazy pour. the head was small and dissapated quickly. Hop aroma was weak for an IPA. The taste of this beer was more malt than hops. The hops were very subtle and the aftertaste was very dry and non-descript. Not a good IPA.
