Commercial Description:
This is the second offering in our JAMAICA line of ales. We didn't want to make another IPA like everybody else so we opted for our own style. Unfortunately the gang at the BATF wouldn't let us use "West Indies" on the label stating that there is no such place. We all thought that Columbus was looking for the West Indies and ended up here by mistake. Oh well. We call this beer Jamaica Sunset because of its golden reddish hue. We use five different hops for aroma, bitterness and floral character. You get a crisp clean flavor and complex hop finish.

Bottle. Poured cloudy, with a golden orange hue. Nice white head.. Strong carbonation with a nose of fruit and hops. But the one thing that made the biggest impression on me was the fact that it was so very easy to drink. This is one of those examples where the whole is bigger than the sum of the parts. A very nice IPA.

Very decent dry hopped IPA. Nose was full of fresh grassy and citrusy hops. Body was solid, malty middle had hints of caramel and biscuit. Tangy hops at the finish. I was pleasantly surprised by the full body of this beer. Purchased in the clearance bin at Milwaukee’s Discount Liquor.

Sort of surprised by this one. After a day of long losers this had some good hop presence in the nose and the flavor. This wouldn’t be your over-the-top IPA, but a nice subtle effort. Overall, it comes of as a one trick pony, but it still is good.

Florally hoppy aroma, smells slightly sweet. Tastes the same, bit finishes bitter. A bit bland, but not bad. Not the best IPA, but certainly not the worst.

Sweet on the first sip, but has a bitter aftertaste. Not as good as some of the other Jamaica brand beers I?ve tried. Will work to wash down pizza.

Slight floral hopnose, pours a cloudy golden color with some head and minimal lacing. Nice apricot fruit flavors with a good hop zest. Very bubbly and tingly with a refreshing hop aftertaste. Sort of light for an IPA, but so what. I like it.

Cloudy light orange color with a ton of carbonation (may have been a dirty glass) which produced a huge rocky head. Aroma was strong in citric and floral hops. Flavor was pretty well balanced with a sweet, sticky malt flavor and a lingering bitterness.
