Commercial Description:
This is the second offering in our JAMAICA line of ales. We didn't want to make another IPA like everybody else so we opted for our own style. Unfortunately the gang at the BATF wouldn't let us use "West Indies" on the label stating that there is no such place. We all thought that Columbus was looking for the West Indies and ended up here by mistake. Oh well. We call this beer Jamaica Sunset because of its golden reddish hue. We use five different hops for aroma, bitterness and floral character. You get a crisp clean flavor and complex hop finish.

Amber in color with a small to medium off white head. Mild to moderate citrus and floral aroma with a good deal of molasses and toasted malts. Taste is malty for an IPA, caramel, toasted crystal malts with moderate citrus and floral hops. Body is full for the style. Bitterness is light to moderate in the finish. Would have liked the hops a bit more in the forefront. still decent.

Pours a hazy light amber with a thick white head. Big caramel toffee malt aroma with a spicy citrus pine hop presence. Smooth malt body with an earthy hop balance. Nicely balanced with a touch of hop bitterness in the finish.

Poured a amber orange with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, hops and pine. Taste was pretty sweet and the hops didn’t jump out me like I typically expect from an IPA. Decent carbonation. Not a bad beer but not the best IPA I have had - more along the lines of a Pale Ale to me.

Orangey Amber color, lemony orange pine smell. rather floral and mildly filtered if I remember correctly. Much citrus shows through.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a few bubbles floating around the surface, but no other head to speak of. Aromas of apple juice, floral hops and lemon. Flavor is a crisp combination of lemon peels and pine.

12 oz bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a thin, off-white head. Pleasant citrus-hop aroma. A hoppy, sweet beer with a dry finish. Surprisingly good for a beer whose six pack costs about the same as Budweiser.

Very basic pale ale. Came in a beer of the month shipment long ago. Not memorable. One of those beers I forgot to rate.
