spikester (440), Salem, Oregon, USA Jun 21, 2008 Pours deep amber with 1" cream color head, few lacings. Aroma pine needles, resins, herbal. Taste is good amount of citrus hops with sweet rich malts. Pretty well balanced for an IPA. Some winey qualities due to 7% abv.
sebletitje (404), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours amber/orange, nice off-white head.
Aroma, hoppy, caramel and sugary.
Taste, sweet hops, grainy, some nice light chocolat malts.
Dry finish, floraland piney hops.
Very enjoyable IPA. vyvvy (1756), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Oct 9, 2008 Pours hazy amber with a soapy beige head. The aroma has sweet toasted malt, diacetyl and some light earthy hops. Medium musty mushy body that has soft carbonation. The flavor starts with stale caramel malt, butterscotch, diacetyl and woody oxidized malt. The finish is cardboardy and medicinal. After tasting this it baffles me that this brewery made its availability debut in the area two week ago. I’d normally say I’d like to rerate with a known fresh bottle, but if this just got to the area how much fresher can I get it? Disappointing. thegreenrooster (1514), St.louis, Missouri, USA Oct 3, 2008 Pour is a cloudy orange with a almost nothing white head. Aroma is a very nice deep pine hop. Flavor is more over the top pine hops with some citrus showing up at the end. A very nice west coast hopped out the wazoo IPA. esjaygee (830), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Sep 20, 2008 Hazy amber with a very thin white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, bread and sweet malt. Taste of caramel, citrus and floral hops. Thick body is balanced with a mild to medium semi-dry bitter finish. WakeandBake (99), Greenville, Michigan, USA Sep 12, 2008 Bottle.Nice cloudy orangish pour. Very nice hop aroma. Flavor is of varied hop notes, floral, citrus, and a nice malt background, all with a nice dry finish. Very enjoyable. This was my second beer tried by this brewer, both were very good, wish I had more.
