2006 bottle. 9.5% abv. Pours a murky reddish brown with almost no head. Aroma is initially lemony bitterness and moves to oxidized light sweet malt. Flavor is toffee, raisin, a bit of roasted malt, and a good dose of citric bitterness. Some oxidation is present as well. It, surprisingly, came together to balance itself out fairly well. Palate is average but somewhat flat. Better than I remember when I had it on tap several years ago.

2007 12 oz bottle Pours Camel gold with slight red hue and no head. Sweet malts, dried fruit and cereal grains on the nose. Candi sugar and sweet malts with a great hop finish and nice acidity to balance the sweetness. Overall I approve.

pours copper/brown, off white head, with some nice frothy head. Aroma is malty, caramel with hints of dark fruits and burnt caramel/sugar. Taste, malty, caramel some candi sugar, light floral hops help bring out the amazing palate and a light bitter notes..

On tap at Boonville Beer Fest. Dark reddish-amber color with a cream-colored head. Malty aroma with caramel, earth, and hops. Flavor is lots of sweet caramel malt, spice, brown sugar, spice, and citrusy hops. Smooth, fairly full palate.

Pours a dark red with a small lacing. Aroma is both hoppy and sweet. A little bit of candy sugar. Flavor is malty and sweet, but also with hoppy bitterness in the end. Palate is average, typical for a contemporary barleywine, slightly spritzy, though sticky. Overall, good to very good.

~Pours redish darker orange with diminishing off white head decent lacing. ~Hoppy scent with caramel malts, candi sugar, alcohol, and spice. ~Candi sugar with musky hops. ~Medium feel, sticky bittersweet finish. ~A little on the sweet side for me, but not overpoweringly so.

Medium hop aroma, with some sour apple. Also a tad malty. Appearance was dark amber with nearly no head. Flavor had some sour apple, toasted malt, molasses and some caramel to round things out. Palate was moderately fizzy and kinda sour. Not too bad.
