| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Nice ruby red color. A boozy and swoozy kind of brew with a malty and woodsy aroma. The bitterness and booze blots out some of the subtler flavors, but I’m a sucker for barleywines. doublebock (197), USA

I’ve done alot of things I’m not proud of, and the rest are disgusting! EithCubes (2168), Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Bottle from 2007, drunk here in April 2009. Strong nose dominated by fruity hues, very ripe/overripe, sweet and thick. Grapefruit, pear, peach, grape, yum yum yum! Malt and hops both in spades, some caramel and light booze. Orange-ruby pour with the typical perfect tan head. Dulled, matted taste, still very sweet but with the center sucked out, distinct aromatics are a bit more muddled, light bitterness and faded caramel. Light warming, alcohol isn’t too bad in the beginning but gets annoying quickly. Medium body with a little hop prickling toward the end. Just can’t get excited. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Pours mahogany / brown with a tannish head. The aroma has sweet malt, roasted malt, cream and lots of dark caramel. Medium body with not much to it and some semi-soft carbonation. The flavor starts with some dark malt, caramel and light spice. The finish is musty and has some cardboard. Okay. bgburdman9 (823), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2009 On draft at bodega. Aroma had a nice hop presense, this must have been pretty fresh. The first taste of this actually reminded me of bigfoot a little bit. It was similar in a hop forward barleywine style. Had a nice color that left some lacing that actually got hard in the sunlight. A pretty tastey beer overall. shawnm213 (995), South Bend, Indiana, USA
