12oz bottle from Whole Foods (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy dark orange to amber color with a thin white foamy head. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel, honey, dark ripe fruit, molasses, almost syrupy. Flavor is also sweet and malty with notes of caramel, honey, ripe dark fruit, phenol, molasses, brown sugar and floral hops. Generally medium body with a floral hop finish.

This poured a cloudy brown color with an off white head. Aroma was dark fruits caramel and lots of alcohol. Flavor is very sweet, a bit fruity but the alcohol is just like a punch in the mouth, this needs to mellow out a bit.

Huge alcohol burn to this one. I imagine it needs to be aged quite a bit to smooth itself out. Noticable hops and some maltiness to boot. Not great for the style.

Pours darkish brown with a very minimal head (just a ring around the glass). Goes down pretty smoothly, just a little bit of bite. Alcahol percentage is at a good level. Well made, well produced and well worth a try.

Pours cloudy dark amber with thin white head. Aroma is of caramel and malt. Flavor is of caramel, molasses, dark fruit. Alcohol is not very apparent in taste. Nice hops bitterness that lasts through the malty finish. A pretty good barleywine.

(bottle) Dark brown body, opaque; thin light brown head. Aroma of molasses and ripe fruit. Full bodied, thick and creamy. The alcohol is well hidden, only coming through a bit in the after taste. Dark roasted flavor with some fruity sweetness. Nothing complex in the flavor, but it is very drinkable.
