Pours a hazy caramel amber brew with a thick off-white head that has good retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet grapefruit, some roasted caramel malt, and more piney hops. Taste is medium to full bodied, chewy and light carbonated with a heavy grapefruit and citrus flavor. Finish is slightly tart with a herbal bitter aftertaste. A decent West Coast-style IPA. Pours a slightly hazy orangish amber, with a beautiful whitish head. Super citrus on the noes with grapefruit dominatiing. Very nice creamy citrus palate with a nice butter rum mid-palate. Very cool. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 18, 2007 Bottle. 12 fl. oz. An unclear, orange beer with thick, frothy, off white head. Aromas of grapefruit and butterscotch. Creamy texture and full-bodied with little carbonation. Flavor is nicely balanced with heavy malt sweetness and a lingering bitter ending. Much more malty than most IPAs I’ve tried. Similar to Indica from the Lost Coast brewery, only stronger. Overall, a good beer. hopslovin (181), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Amber pour, foamy off-white head. Citrus and a little spice in the aroma. Sweet malt taste with a slightly bitter finish. Not a big enough hop presence in this one for my liking. Much better DIPAs available. Crit (2416), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2007 Appears a hazy, orange toned amber with a 2 finger, fluffy, off-white head that fades into a small cap. Tons of dry hopped fallout floats around the brew like nuclear sludge. Plenty of scattered lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of biscuit, caramel, pine, grass, and mild fruit notes.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with a slightly herbal scent mixed with brown sugar also coming through in the flavors.
Mouthfeel is full bodied, boozy, fizzy, with hints of creaminess, chewy, sweet, and lightly bitter.
