Superb true heavy duty Ipa. Nice golden pour, super strong nose of hops and spice. It is sold in 6 packs for around $10 which is a big plus. Mad river continues to produce top notch quality beers year by year without fail. This is one you cant pass up if your a true Ipa fan.

12 oz. Bottle. Lame. Aroma is sweet. Flavor is malty. Palate is outstanding. But there isn’t much left to say about this one. Very pedestrian.

golden red with large white head. moderate carbonation for style. mild spicy hop nose. flavor immediately has a pervasive alcoholic tinge. some hop bitterness comes through that is somewhat piney then spicy hop flavor before a full sweet mouthfeel and alcoholic warmth that never becomes overwhelming, despite it’s constant presence. not a great version of the style, but a drinkable beer. not enough emphasis on the hops and a little hot

Bottle shared by "the goat". Pours a hazy orangeish brown with a white head. Aroma is faded hops, citrus, and a solid malt backbone. Finish is bitter, hop oils, and malts. Wish this was fresher but still a good brew.

Pours a deep golden amber with minor head. Aroma is quite faded. Unfortunately this beer is past its prime. Minor hops and malts, a little sourness comes across. Taste is an interesting citrusy blend with the malts; aftertaste is a very spicy/prickly bitterness. Can definitely tell this was way better fresh.

Poured from Bottle into Snifter glass. Pours a swirling hazy dark amber, very murky, with a creamy pillowing off-white head that slowly dissolves and leaves nice lacing down the glass. Aroma has a lot of caramel malt and citrus hop and there is something toasted in the nose as well. Flavor is very malty with some citrus and a medium bitterness that resonates for some time. its heavy to medium bodied and fairly syrupy. Too much sweet malt for me, its not bad but its not that great either.

Draft. Cloudy, hazy battery acid brown in color. Light head. Clearly hoppy from the jump. Citrusy fruit hints, not too bitter. Flat, flavor muted and watery. Ok
