(11/4/08) Draught at some place called "Sneak Joint" in Mission Beach, San Diego, that is standing where Liar’s Club used to be. Cloudy orange-brown color with a stable white head. Aroma of piney hops. Bitter hoppy flavor with pine, resinous notes and a bit of malt and caramel to back it up. Medium-bodied. Decent.

Hops anyone? This has to be one of the hoppiest brews I have ever had. Smells of hops so much that you might think that there is some weed in there (which is not a bad thing), with hints of malts and caramel. Nice brown color to this one. Tastes of, well what else, hops, with some other sweet flavors. Has a nice, pleasant bite in the end. Overall a truly good experience.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear orange color with about an eighth of an inch of white foam. Good carbonation. Aroma is sweet and floral with some hints of caramel and a lot of citrus and pine. Flavor is sweet and very floral with a lot of hops, pine, citrus, caramel, and some other unidentifiable sweetness. Finishes clean and smooth. Alcohol is very well hidden.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear orange/gold color with a very thin, almost non-existent, off white head. Aroma of caramel and pine. Flavor of caramel and slight bit of grapefruit in the finish. This is a decent IIPA, but nothing to write home about.

Decent sized off-white head of fine bubbles. Minimal carbonation. Sweet caramel malt aroma, iced tea, roasted grains and a bit of bitterness. Slightly cloudy dark amber. Malty and bitter flavor with some more caramel and toffee. Some piney hops and grapefruit pith. Noticable alcohol content. Finishes bitter and a bit dry. A pretty good IIPA but nothing that really set it above the rest.

Bottle. Poured a hazy orange with a creamy off-white head that left light lace. Grapefruit aromas with caramel and a pine background. Very enjoyable hop/malt flavor of grapefruit and caramel. Medium body and medium bitterness throughout.

Getting notebook online. Draft at SDFOB 2007. Poured a copper hue. Pretty good grapefruit and orange peel flavors. Fairly sweet. Slight bitter finish.

Hazy medium orange color. Nice looking. Thin creamy lace head. Strong pine citrus flavor. Mostly bitter and almost no sweetness. A big malt presence through out. No big hop smell here. Aroma is tart and sour. Does not seem like a double IPA except for the alcohol As it is its a solid beer. If it was sweeter I would buy again.
