| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 6, 2008 Hazy light amber with a small off white head. Mild pine aroma. Caramel and sweet malt flavors with hints of grapefruit. Silky texture and dry finish. Not a West Coast hop bomb and hardly an IIPA. kseecs16 (907), Naperville, Illinois, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Pours an light amber orange with NO head at all. doesn’t look very appealing. Really nice floral hop aroma takes your nose by surprise. It is very much the smell of a good DIPA Tastes a little bland for an IPA. Every more bland for a DIPA. I don’t get this even being called a Double anything. This ought to be called a pale ale. It feels pretty good on the mouth with a light coating that makes you go back for more. But alas, there’s no extra hop flavor. Very drinkable but I wouldn’t want to. lipscomb216 (78), USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2008 Bottle. A murky copper pour with a finger-thick light-tan head. Smells of grapefruits, resiny pine needles, and some pears. Medium-bodied. Starts with some sweet caramel. Lots of citrusy hops at the end. Tongue-strippingly dry finish that lingers. Solid, though nothing too memorable.
