12oz bottle cloudy orange goldenrod color. looks unfiltered thin off white head leaves wet lacing. pleasant hoppy aroma is not particularly intense medium bitterness paired with fresh citric hop sweet malty backbone succeeds in not being gunky this has the body of a 2x ipa but not the hop intensity isnt that the point

The Dan Journal #245. Tasted 10/31/08. 12oz bottle. Hazy with a golden hue. Trace white ring of head. Good estery hoppy aromas. Big citrusa note. Medium to Full bodied with a good malty backbone. The hops are paramount, but the malt holds its own. Spicy citrus hops. Zesty and bitter.

Hazy light amber with a small off white head. Mild pine aroma. Caramel and sweet malt flavors with hints of grapefruit. Silky texture and dry finish. Not a West Coast hop bomb and hardly an IIPA.

Bottle. Pours light amber with a thin white lacing head. Saturated with little floating yeast globules. Very sweet floral resinous hops aroma. Flavor is very sweet with a strong bitter finish, sugary, nectary with a toasted malt body. Full bodied, nice.

Pours an light amber orange with NO head at all. doesn’t look very appealing. Really nice floral hop aroma takes your nose by surprise. It is very much the smell of a good DIPA Tastes a little bland for an IPA. Every more bland for a DIPA. I don’t get this even being called a Double anything. This ought to be called a pale ale. It feels pretty good on the mouth with a light coating that makes you go back for more. But alas, there’s no extra hop flavor. Very drinkable but I wouldn’t want to.

Bottle. Pours sediment filled orange with an off white head. Caramel malt and hops in the aroma. The flavor is zesty lemony citric hops with caramel malt. Pretty average.

Bottle. A murky copper pour with a finger-thick light-tan head. Smells of grapefruits, resiny pine needles, and some pears. Medium-bodied. Starts with some sweet caramel. Lots of citrusy hops at the end. Tongue-strippingly dry finish that lingers. Solid, though nothing too memorable.
