Commercial Description:
The original Extra Pale Ale, this is the one that started it all. Our first brew was introduced in 1989 in Golden Gate style kegs. We have stayed true to our beginnings and still brew it the way we did back then. A bright golden hued ale with a medium body and a crisp spicy /floral hop character and very mild bitterness. This unfiltered ale has a pleasing mouth feel and remains our most popular brew. This beer goes with everything and every occasion.

NOW isnt this an interesting brew. bright and fruity with a bit of tea in the flavor.perhaps a bit more than a bit. still a moderate hop presence. the beer is cloudy and lemony gold with a quickly dissapating head. the finish transitions to a sweet and tangy spot that fades to a slightly oily finish. quite interesting and must be tried again! the reason that this beer scores well as others who are similar do not is simply -BODY- THIS BEER has an appealing body. love me some good body oouucchh damn honey girl of course i meant you!!!

Poured a cloudy amber fronm a 12 ounce bottle. Small head good carbonation. Good transition brew from macros. Fine flavor, well balanced. Will have this again hopefully from tap.

Reasonably tasty but in final analysis forgettable. A bit higher abv than I like for a session beer, not enough flavor to hold its own though compared to APA competition.

Bottle. A decent APA, not great but decent. I seem to recall it pouring a amber/golden color. Aroma is floral hops with malts. Finishes with a slight bitterness.

grainy sour yeast mixes with a bit of hops on the aroma here. not much character at all through the middle and to the end, leaving an unpleasant funk taste. surprisingly poor.

Nice! This thing poured much like a GOOD German Hefeweizen. I have never seen a beer with so much sediment(good stuff). Aroma is explosive at first but fades to subtle. Smells like an Oktoberfest to be honest. Has a warming Winter Ale taste. Its just very smooth. Perfect alc% I think any more and it would be ruined. This beer had me excited from the start and all the way through. Another great American contribution.

Today your APA better be pretty kick ass, there is no room for average and this is just too middle of the road. Drinkable.

Thin head with light carbonation. Light fruity nose with some peaches, floral hops and some malts. Slightly hazy medium golden orange in color. Dry and crisp flavor. Light malts and crisp hops. Some floral and grainy notes. Finishes dry and with a mild bitterness. A decent pale ale.
