Commercial Description:
The original Extra Pale Ale, this is the one that started it all. Our first brew was introduced in 1989 in Golden Gate style kegs. We have stayed true to our beginnings and still brew it the way we did back then. A bright golden hued ale with a medium body and a crisp spicy /floral hop character and very mild bitterness. This unfiltered ale has a pleasing mouth feel and remains our most popular brew. This beer goes with everything and every occasion.

A golden ale with a thick off white head. In aroma, light c-hops and chalky notes. In mouth, a crisp malt, with light quasi German hops, mineral notes, caramel malts. Light bodied. On tap at Bridgetender, Lake Tahoe, August 18, 2009.

3/12/2008: Steelhead Extra Pale Ale has honey malt paired with resiny hops in both the aroma and flavor. It is flavorful with a mild hop bitterness. There beer is golden and hazy with a frothy small white head and a medium body. It feels soft on the palate. This is a pretty good Pale Ale.

12 fl. oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Thanks Tom! Rating #298 for this beer.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild orange fruity. Smooth fruity flavoured, light sweet malt base. Mild fruity finish. Very mellow flavoured brew.

Bottled. Unfiltered, which is nice. Mildly hoppy, grainy, rye nose, some trash. Corny, light, sweet, bitterish flavor. Somewhat floral and spicy. Nothing too exciting but not too offensive.

Pours a cloudy golden color with sediment floating about. Nice sized white head that stays. Nice fruity and slightly bready aroma. Taste has very distinct fruity notes along with mild hops and enough malts to fill in the rest of the beer rather well. Yesterday was a really warm day and this was exactly what I wanted.

Pours a light gold with a medium-sized white heaad that recedes slowly. Very lager-colored. Aroma is just slightly hoppy, with a little honey. Pretty weak aroma though. Flavor is of honey, slightly floral, weak citrus. Decent mouthfeel, a little creamy, but nothing special. Decent pale overall, just could use more flavor if it wants to be remembered. Smooth, drinkable, forgettable. Overall, fair to good.
