Commercial Description:
The original Extra Pale Ale, this is the one that started it all. Our first brew was introduced in 1989 in Golden Gate style kegs. We have stayed true to our beginnings and still brew it the way we did back then. A bright golden hued ale with a medium body and a crisp spicy /floral hop character and very mild bitterness. This unfiltered ale has a pleasing mouth feel and remains our most popular brew. This beer goes with everything and every occasion.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pale golden, average head. Rich hoppy nose with lots of lychee and pineapple. The mouthfeel is surprisingly soft and gentle and the body is light. It’s completely dominated by the aroatic hops, yet the bitternes is not really that powerful. A cottony hop aroma experience.

Orange color with not much head. Spicy hop aroma with a bit of fruit. Plenty of hop bitterness up front in the flavor with an over-ripened tangerine/apricot finish. Easy to drink but not without substantial flavor. I think the "extra" in the name is effecting some people’s perceptions since this one is not lacking in taste.

Lukewarm beer. First impression is everything, looking down at this unremarkable yellow beer I knew exactly where it was going. Sweet and bubbly thin, it reminded me of that guy in high school that could never quite get over his colds. A bit of fruits in there too, mostly apricot or peach.

color - orange/gold, Fruity aroma(peachish). Hops on initial taste which fades to a pretty smooth semi fruity/sweet malt. Hop bitterness is always present though. Decently balanced. I do like the finish and aftertaste though, soothing quality to it. IPA is way better but this is a nice gentle pale ale. I like it

Bottle (from Breeze-Thru in Wauwatosa) pours with very little head and a yellow, hazy, dull appearance. Aroma is hop itterness without citrus or pine notes. Some malt sweetness is also present. Aroma is OK, but not great. Taste is significantly better than this beers aroma. It is a generally mild hop bitterness, again without citrus or pine notes. Not bad. Mouthfeel is evervescent and pleasing. This beer is drinkable, yet somehow not quite impressive to me to warrant repurchase on my part (there is so much else to try in this big world). All-in-all, I thought this beer very unremarkable compared to the generally remarkable APA category.

[Bottle - 12oz] A light golden color slightly hazy with a light head beer. This had a swwet aroma with a nice amount of hops used. I liked the malty flavor. This beer was ot truly balanced of which gives the very sweet flavor. Needs more hops or less malts.
