I hate IPAs, and I tend to dislike EPAs, but this was extraordinary. The taste and smell were very fascinating. The aftertaste makes the beer a must have! Try it out. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 22, 2005 12 oz. bottle. Golden with a medium white head. Subtle hop and malt aromas continued in the flavor profile. Thirst quenching bitterness in the finish. An OK pale ale, but nothing special. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 21, 2005 12 oz bottle pours golden hazy with a short white head. Aroma is light grains and haylike hops. Flavor is some lemon and hay as well as light cereal like malts. Somewhat fruity and outdoorsy. Palate is light and not real carbonated. Drinkable but nothing outstanding here. A little below average as far as APAs that I have tried go. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 12, 2005 Appears in the glass a hazy straw gold woth minimum amount of head and lot of sediment floating. Aroma is sweaty and yeat weak, but holds a small character of hops and malt. Somewhat plain and tastes flat. Must have had an extensive shelf life. Flavor has a hidden trace of hop and earth to it but in general is bland and medicore. Okay quencher during the summer heat of mid September. lamas (733), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 19, 2005 Bottle. Hazy straw pour with a thin off-white head. Hoppy aroma with some citrus and spices. Medium to thin-bodied. Crisp. Nice carbonation level. Citrusy hops and sweet malts in the flavor, all subdued. Nice label. Really makes me wanna watch ESPN Outdoors. A very poundable beer. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2005 Hazy med-gold color. Sweet, fruity hops aroma with more fruit and sweetness in the flavor. Really good crispness but with little bitterness. Not a bad offering on the lighter side of things. brentfeesh (1040), Gadsden, Alabama, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 13, 2005 Hazy gold, frothy head. Standard syrupy metallic malt with minor hop presence (some citrus) in the aroma. The flavor is lightly bitter with biscuit like malt underneath. Easy, and not too bad. Body is adequate for the style. OK, but nothing special. johnsjacobsen (1), USA does not count | 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jul 19, 2005 Such a fun smell and taste, with strong citrus taste and odor from the hops. I have only had the bottled variety, and would love to try it on tap.
Great in the summer, after mowing the lawn or sitting by the ocean. I have to be carefull that I don’t drink too many of these, because I don’t pay attention.
