Commercial Description:
The original Extra Pale Ale, this is the one that started it all. Our first brew was introduced in 1989 in Golden Gate style kegs. We have stayed true to our beginnings and still brew it the way we did back then. A bright golden hued ale with a medium body and a crisp spicy /floral hop character and very mild bitterness. This unfiltered ale has a pleasing mouth feel and remains our most popular brew. This beer goes with everything and every occasion.

Nice brisk carbonation underneath a dense rocky head. The palate is soft, dry, and lightly hopped. The finish is slightly spicy. This is the type of beer when it is fresh and the mood is right makes for a fine sipper that you don’t get tired of.

Pours golden with a medium off white head. Aroma is faint citrus and pale malts. Flavor is citrusy and piny hops and a little bit of light malts, but not much finish. It’s ok.

Pale golden pour. Thick white head. The nose is fairly sweet with a little bit of lightly spicy/lightly woody hops. There is a touch of light sweet honey/cookie dough character. The hops have faded a bit but they do have a bit of light lingering fruitiness. Soft sweet palate. It’s not a terrible beer, but it could definitely be much hoppier.

Pours a light yellow color with a white head, it looks a lot like a lager. Aroma is grass and honey. Taste is grain, grass, and sweet sugar. Easy to drink but really pretty boring and very little hop bitterness, taste, or aroma. Overall pretty disappointing for an Extra Pale Ale.

Pale copper or dark gold and clear. A moderate white head with average lacing. The aroma was thin citrus and sweet grassy hops. The flavor was sweet sugars and light citrus hops. Thin and relatively dry with a nice succinct finish. Went down easy. Nothing offensive here.

Draft at Tylers. Cloudy orange golden with a whispy white head. Nose of corn, honey, earthy hops. Pretty solid flavor- more hops, a little caramel and honey and a nice dry finish. Easy drinking and quite sessionable.

From the bottle. Pours a light golden with medium carbonation. A light nose of aroma hops and earthy tones. Light carmel malted flavor.
