Commercial Description:
A black opaque ale with rich creamy roasted malt character and a very mild hop complement. This beer may look a little scary but take a sip and you'll see why this Extra Stout can convert even lite beer drinkers to Stout lovers. A unique flavor profile that starts with a slight coffee flavor and finishes with a hint of roasty chocolate. Try a pint with a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. This beer is a favorite as a compliment to any dessert or as a hearty breakfast drink.

Bottle: Poured a dark black brown with a tan thin head. The aroma is sweet and coffee bean. The taste is coffee with some bitter twang to it.

~Pours a soda like colour with small brown head. ~ Aroma is strong in coffee and sweet roasted malts ~ Taste is choclatey and coffee bitter ~ Palate feels dry and light, but also coats mouth. ~ This is a delicious beer. Definetly have to try again with some vanilla ice cream.

Pours black with a large beige head. Sweet with some bitterness. Malty aromas of roasted coffee and roasted malts - also a hint og caramel. Light citric hops aromas. Also aromas of sweet dates. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Dry finish. OK

Bottle. Pour is like cola... fizzy and dark. Head sits around three or four fingers at first and hisses at me while I type. Aromas are thick of roasty malt, dark chocolate and charcoal/peat. First sip reveals a fairly nice blend of coffee and chocolate malts with a bit of a smokey aftertaste... all the while, it is a bit thin on the palate, especially at first. It could be that there is not the push from a higher ABV to warm things along or the malt presence is a little thin, but it seems just a tick away from perfection. Very nice, in spite of it all.

I really enjoyed this stout. Not a big aroma but a beautiful black color with a large fluffy brown head after a hard pour. Nice malty sweetness with a smoke taste in the background. Ends with a bit of hops.

Bottle from Beer Club: Poured a deep dark brown, almost black with not much head. The aroma was roasted malts, some caramel. The flavor was rich and smooth, espresso and dark chocolate. Overall, a really good Stout.

Pours completely opaque with hardly any head. So many flavors and variations of coffee and dark chocolate but, surprisingly, not very bitter. Flavor lingers for a long time.

BOM. Pour dark black with little if no head. Smell is very potent. Flavor is very complex and lingers on the tough. I’m not a big fan of stouts. This is decent but not something I would drink or buy on a regular basis. However, I do appricate the fine craftsmenship that has gone into this brew.
