The aroma is rich, sweet chocolate with a bit of a coffee note, toffee, and some granola bars. The flavor is chocolatey at first, then gets a roasty bitterness. There’s a hint of cherry there for a second, then a prickly acidity takes over. The finish is clean and slightly sweet. Not bad at all. radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

This was the beer that made me a stout lover. A great, small-brew California stout- dark, murky and mysterious but rich and inviting.
